Nvidia声称Intel在Xeon Phi处理器的测试中作弊

站长搜索讯 8月18日消息,昨天Intel在2016年中国互联网安全大会(ISC)上公布了自家Xeon Phi处理器的深度学习性能测试图,根据Intel所说,自家的Xeon Phi处理器在神经网络学习中的性能是Nvidia的Tesla计算卡的2.3倍,另外Intel的Xeon Phi处理器也比Nvidia的Tesla显卡降低40%的功耗,这就让Nvidia十分地生气。Nvidia在自己的博客中声称Intel所进行对比的测试软件Caffe AlexNe是早期版本,而最新的Caffe AlexNe已经针对Nvidia的计算卡进行了优化,平均提升30%的性能

站长搜索讯 8月18日消息,昨天Intel在2016年中国互联网安全大会(ISC)上公布了自家Xeon Phi处理器的深度学习性能测试图,根据Intel所说,自家的Xeon Phi处理器在神经网络学习中的性能是Nvidia的Tesla计算卡的2.3倍,另外Intel的Xeon Phi处理器也比Nvidia的Tesla显卡降低40%的功耗,这就让Nvidia十分地生气。

Nvidia在自己的博客中声称Intel所进行对比的测试软件Caffe AlexNe是早期版本,而最新的Caffe AlexNe已经针对Nvidia的计算卡进行了优化,平均提升30%的性能。而且更为重要的是Intel对比的是Nvidia老旧的Maxwell计算卡而不是最新的Pascal计算卡,Nvidia同时声称自家的Pascal计算卡能比Maxwell计算卡提升90%的性能。

同时Nvidia也对Intel使用的测试平台进行了质疑,因为Intel自家进行对比测试的平台所使用的Tesla计算卡是四年前的Tesla K20X(Kelper架构),甚至连Maxwell都不用,如果使用Nvidia最新的计算卡性能将会成倍增加。

不过Intel对于Nvidia的抗议却不以为然,他们在一份说明中如此说道:目前Nvidia正在关于高性能运算这个领域,发出这样的质疑也是可以理解的,Intel始终为大家提供高性能的数据处理方案。
