店铺内部的装饰，是一贯的模式化：白色水磨石地板、浅栗色石墙、橡木长桌以及在天花板上铺设开的大灯箱，这些设计已被确定为苹果零售店未来改造版本的标配。

不过，这都不是店面改造的重点。和今年三月底在天津恒隆广场新开业的苹果零售店一样，这次摄政街苹果店的再设计主要是为了营造一种社区的感觉。

这种社区的感觉，主要是通过设置新的功能区来实现的。在常规的产品体验区之外，苹果店内增设了“The Avenue”（长廊）、“Genius Grove”（天才园）、“The Forum”（互动坊）以及“The Boardroom”（商谈室）这四个主要分区。

“The Avenue”是位于店铺内靠墙两侧的互动式陈列区，除耳机、手机壳等静态的产品及配饰外，音乐、摄影、App 等创意内容也被包括在内。类似临街而设的展示橱窗，这块区域会不时更换陈列品。而苹果的创意艺术专家还会在每个显示屏前，为顾客提供咨询服务。

“Genius Grove”是店铺内最醒目的那片种植区。每棵树底下都设有环形座椅，让每一个走进店铺的人可以坐在树下聊天或者工作。

“The Forum”放置了一堆木质方凳，还设了 6K 影像墙，用于举办各类活动，包括艺术家、摄影师、音乐家、创业者等举办的论坛、讲座，以及音乐与视频的放映活动。

“The Boardroom”是一个私密空间，在摄政街的这家店里，被设于二楼。零售店的商业团队，将会在这个空间里，为创业者、开发者以及中小型企业客户提供咨询与培训。

作为于 2004 年开设的欧洲首家苹果零售店，英国摄政街苹果店，或许完成了开店以来最大的一次改动。

改造模板在今年 5 月份美国旧金山的 Union Square 苹果店内被正式确立。唯一不同的一点是，Union Square 苹果店比一般的苹果零售店多了一个“The Plaza”（露天广场）。这块区域全天 24 小时对公众开放，设有公共 WiFi 和座椅，在周末还会有音乐演出，而在零售店内部的“互动坊”举行的一些活动，也会被移到这块室外空间。

不过根据苹果的消息，“露天广场”只会在几家最重要的苹果零售店开设。

主导这场零售店改造的，是负责苹果零售业务与在线商店的高级副总裁 Angela Ahrendts 和苹果首席设计官 Jonathan Ive。具体的设计由英国设计公司 Foster+Partners 负责。从 2014 年开始，Foster+Partners 就成为了苹果官方的合作伙伴。

设置互动陈列区、树木、讲座、论坛、演出、企业咨询与培训，其实都是为了延长消费者在苹果店中的停留时间。

零售店直接销售的概念被进一步弱化：过去以互动为主的产品体验区，成了零售店中更小的一部分，在产品体验之外，用更多样的方式来输出品牌理念、并建立品牌与人们之间的关系，成了如今零售店更重要的使命。

用 Angela Ahrendts 的话来说，他们“不仅是在升级零售店的设计，而是在扮演更重要的社区角色——为顾客们提供教育与娱乐，同时为当地的企业家们提供服务”。她希望人们在周末的时候会到店内来放松自己，甚至使苹果店融入到人们的日常生活中：比如，约朋友聚会时，苹果店会被设定为见面地点，或者，在与朋友谈论的日常话题时，苹果店内发生的新鲜事会不时被提及。

设计师 Tim Kobe 告诉好奇心日报，新店设计中最吸引他的是“对顾客体验的改变”，他认为“将公共空间与品牌空间相结合的做法，从根本上重新定义了一个品牌与零售店。这一切与室内装修的关系其实不大，真正关乎的是这个品牌在当地环境中所创造出的意义与关联性”。

Tim Kobe，是负责设计苹果第一代零售店的设计工作室 8 Inc. 的创始人兼 CEO。15 年前，在他接手苹果零售店的设计业务时，苹果的产品销售还严重依赖一些大型零售商，而这些公司却缺乏足够的动力向消费者推销苹果的产品并展现其独特性。

苹果公司亟待重振旗鼓、提升品牌价值。当时，乔布斯说：“我们必须做点什么，不然将会成为板块构造的受害者。我们必须想得不一样。我们必须在这里进行创新。”

1998 年，Tim Kobe 给乔布斯写了一份白皮书，阐明了苹果需要建立自己的零售店的原因。当时，他所领导的团队已为 Nike 和 The North Face 等品牌做过项目，乔布斯用邮件询问了他们关于零售的看法后，就雇佣了他们开启了零售店的建设计划。

在接受好奇心日报采访时，Time Kobe 回忆道：“一切都从在白板上规划空间与产品布局开始，每周我们都和乔布斯以及苹果团队在一起工作，这样的状态一直持续了差不多 12 年。我无法评价如今整个设计过程发生了怎样的改变，但我知道，没有他的参与，事情在本质上已经不一样了。”

根本上，零售店是苹果跳过经销商、缩短产品与消费者间沟通距离的一个有力途径。而对于外观设计与性能都极为出众的苹果产品来说，花大成本建零售店的确值得。

作为苹果第一代零售店的设计师，Tim Kobe 在零售店的设计中最强调的是品牌与消费者之间的联系，他在接受好奇心日报采访时表示：“零售店设计首先是基于对公司价值的本质性理解，以及如何让这种价值与其目标消费者产生联系……而在我看来，最成功的零售店设计，应该是足够特别的，同时又非常简单、真诚以及有关联度。”

如今，苹果公司的光环在退却。这一切直观地表现为，今年第二季度苹果利润与去年同期相比骤降了 15%。但造成这种现象的并非是产品质量的下降，而是由于销量与市场占有率提高，且产品没有突破性更新，人们对苹果公司的印象进入了相对平淡的阶段。

2013 年，Tim Kobe 曾说：“自从乔布斯去世之后，苹果的前进势头开始减弱。苹果急需一场改革。（对于零售方案），他们真的应该每五年更新一次。”

在第一批零售店设立后的 15 周年，苹果公司终于进行了新一轮的改革。

旧金山 Union Square 苹果零售店装修完成后，我们又一次采访了 Tim Kobe，问及有关社区理念的打造时，他表示：“如果空间与体验能支撑起这个想法的话，它会变得很强大。不过如今，要在品牌和顾客之间搭建并维持一个社区，比过去要难得多，因为人们对公司的忠诚感降低了。因而创造一种能增强顾客与零售店之间联系的体验，就变得非常关键。”

要做到这一点，打造出能营造社区感的功能分区只是第一步，对于苹果来说，要靠各项体验活动来吸引顾客并与之维系良好的关系，并最终吸引他们继续购买苹果的产品，需要花费更多的力气。
