Cortana语音助手

Cortana语音助手无疑是Windows Phone 8.1的最大亮点，而语音助手功能现在已经成为衡量一个智能手机操作系统是否优秀的重要标准之一。对于苹果Siri、三星S Voice以及Google Now来说，Cortana无疑是一个强有力的竞争对手。Cortana来自于微软著名第一人称射击类游戏《光晕（Halo）》，而Cortana是一名女性形象的人工智能，与游戏主人公士长官关系密切，或许微软为Windows Phone语音助手起名Cortana就是希望它能像游戏里面那样智能。根据微软的说法，Cortana功能十分强大，几乎能够满足你对智能手机的一切操作需求。Cortana不仅可以完成诸如设定提醒、查询天气、地图导航、短信播报、打开应用以及调整设置等普通功能，她甚至还能讲笑话，对于用户一些无厘头问题也会以非常幽默的方式做出回答，相信网上很快就会出现很多调戏Cortana的视频。

与真人助手一样，Cortana也会收集用户信息。她可以逐渐摸清用户习惯，比如饮食偏好、日常安排以及最近关注的新闻，用户可以在第一时间从Cortana动态磁贴上获得这些信息。另外，Cortana还能像秘书一样为不同联系人设置各种提醒，比如提醒你给父母打电话询问旅行情况等等。当然，如果在公共场合暂时不适合语音交流，文字发问也没有问题。值得一提的是，商务性一直以来都是Windows Phone设备的主要卖点之一，此次Cortana也充分迎合了商务人士的需求，Cortana会根据用户日程或者提前设定的时间段开启智能免打扰模式以暂时屏蔽电话或者短信，而这并不是“一刀切”式的屏蔽模式。用户可以根据需要把重要联系人添加到Inner Circle中，而Inner Circle中的联系人并不会受到免打扰模式的限制。全新的Windows Phone 8.1还支持地理围栏功能，因此Cortana能够综合当前位置以及附近地理信息来做出选择判断，比如当你要求Cortana提醒你带点食物回家并且附近恰巧有一家比萨店时，Cortana就会告诉你这家店的馅饼不错。

说了这么多，Cortana也并非不是没有缺点。目前，Cortana还不能像Moto X语音助手一样实时监测语音命令，用户仍然需要长按搜索键才能呼出Cortana。另外，Cortana对于文字命令的识别度也非常高，不过如果用户有一些错误拼写或者表达，那么Cortana有时也会打酱油。需要注意的是，考虑到WP8.1开发者预览版内置的Cortana语音助手只是beta版，因此这样的表现已经足够让人惊喜了，毫无疑问在将来Cortana会变得越来越聪明，到时候再来与Siri以及Google Now一较高下也不迟。

Action Center通知中心

虽然Windows Phone动态磁贴可以及时提醒用户应用通知，但是在Action Center通知中心出现之前，如果用户想要查看那些没有被固定在开始屏幕上的应用是否有通知，那么就必须打开应用，这不免与动态磁贴的设计初衷有些相悖，由此可见通知中心的重要性。尽管很难想象微软为什么花了将近4年的时间才为Windows Phone添加通知中心，但是至少Action Center的出现弥补了这一明显的系统短板。

与iOS、Android一样，从屏幕顶部下滑就可唤出Action Center。在Action Center上部是四颗可定义快捷开关，可定义选项包括亮度、飞行模式、蓝牙、WLAN、旋转锁定、相机、位置、投影屏幕、网络共享以及免打扰模式，而在快捷开关上方则是运营商与电量百分比等详细信息，左下角和右下角分别清除所有通知以及所有设置选项，方便用户快速进入设置菜单。

至于通知方面，Action Center并无太多特色可言，状态栏图标可以提示通知，下拉点按可以进入应用查看通知详细信息，向右滑动清除通知（滑动应用程序可以清除该应用所有通知），而Action Center中的通知可以和动态磁贴同步，这一点非常人性化。虽然Action Center已经是Windows Phone的一大进步，但现在与Android通知中心相比在易用性等方面还有不小的差距，毕竟Android的优势之一就是允许手机生产商随意定制系统UI。

Word Flow滑动输入

Windows Phone 8.1另一个引以为傲的设计就是Word Flow滑动输入功能。用户只需在虚拟键盘上用手指滑动至相应字母，输入法就会自动显示候选单词，不仅输入速度极快，而且精确度很高。不过对初次接触滑动输入法的用户来说还需要一段时间的适应过程，一旦熟练掌握后你就会觉得传统的点按输入简直弱爆了。令人遗憾的是，滑动输入目前只支持英文。

硬件支持

Windows Phone的每一次升级就伴随着对于更强大硬件配置的支持，这次自然也不例外。据悉，Windows Phone 8.1新增了对双卡设备的支持，而双卡双待对于中国这样的新兴市场尤为重要，微软自然也希望Windows Phone在与低端Android设备的竞争中不会处于劣势。除此以外，Windows Phone将支持更先进的高通骁龙处理器并允许在SD卡中安装应用程序，拍照键也不再是硬性要求之一，因此或许以后只有中高端Windows Phone设备才会配备实体拍照键。

其他主要改进

Windows Phone 8.1个性化程度有所增加，不仅可以设置开始界面壁纸，而且在接下来的几周内微软还会推送更新以允许用户自定义锁屏界面，Windows Phone再也不是审美疲劳的代名词了。另外，节电模式也更加人性化。在Windows Phone 8.1中，用户可以查看所有程序的耗电量并根据需要选择可以在节电模式下后台运行的程序，而之前Windows Phone 8停止一切后台运行与推送的节电模式未免显得过于极端。其余一些主要改进包括：全新设计的日历视图以及新版Windows Phone应用商店等，值得一提的是，Windows Phone应用商店还新增了已购买程序选项。
